THE QUEEN

Where The King commands with boldness, The Queen captivates with grace. 

Discovered in the same hidden cellar, The Queen spent 23 long years resting in select oak casks - her silence deepening her soul. Crafted from pure guarapo and matured in the Atlantic climate of La Palma, she carries delicate aromas of dried fruit, honeyed spice, and toasted almond, balanced by a velvety, lingering finish.

While The King journeyed across oceans, The Queen ruled from within, letting time and wood weave her magic in stillness. She is elegant, rare, and remarkebly poised - a tribute to heritage, patience, and feminine strength. Only the fortunate will taste her. 

Origin and Distillation

The sugar cane is grown on Aldea's own fields. It is grown without the addition of fertilizers or pesticides. After distillation, the rum matured for 23 years in Spanish oak barrels before receiving a second maturation in the cargo hold of the Tres Hombres.

Her voyage on board the Tres Hombres

This characterful and strong rum finally left the island in a Madeira barrel. 

Because the ship is constantly in motion, contact with the wood is intensified again. The Madeira cask infused the spirit during the time on board for a memorable Tres Hombres finish. 

Bottling

The rum of this Captain's Choice selection was bottled by Stokery Amsterdam with the help of the Tres Hombres team.

Tasting notes

Dark amber coloured from many years of being stored away in a single cask on the Aldea Estate in La Palma, this rum seduces the nose with subtle hints of chocolate and caramel.

Still some freshness of the cane juice appears between the rich and ripe tastes of oak, coffee, honey… a surprising adventure in rum-heaven!

The aftertaste is relatively dry and long lasting with a delicious little sharpness, to
honours its long voyage onboard the Tres Hombres. A darling under the royal rums…
