Description
"Page Blanche" is a french white wine certified organic. It was bottled in 2024 by Sophie Guiraudon.
Tasting Notes:
This is an atypical Grenache, characterized on the palate by the smoothness of Grenache and the fresh, vibrant character of a harvest at controlled ripeness. Floral notes, slightly fruity, with aromas of pear and peach, are enhanced by a touch of fennel.
Terroir and grape varieties:
This wine comes from a 60-year-old Grenache vineyard, planted with two types of Grenache: 80% Blanc and 20% Gris.
Vineyard work:
The grapes were harvested by hand at a very moderate ripeness.
Winemaking:
Winemaking is multifaceted and varied: some grapes are made using the saignée method, some by direct pressing, and some after a 12-hour pre-fermentation maceration. Temperature control is minimal. Malolactic fermentation is completed to produce a more stable wine with very low sulfites.
Aging:
The wine has aged in clay eggs.
